Jiashan Lang comes from a renowned artist family in Beijing China. While making art, she also made her mission to educate people on the importance of preserving and promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage around the world.
Jiashan’s inspiration came from Chinese history and folklore. She uses cooking dough as her medium to create figurines. Her technique involves coloring the dough and then sculpting it into the form desired so that no painting is required. Her work is a part of collections at various museums, galleries, and individual collectors around the world. She has appeared in many print media and television programs reporting on her art.
Jiashan Lang is currently based in Houston, Texas. She’s determined to introduce Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage to the US.
